IPL Skin Rejuvenation

IPL skin rejuvenation for veins

How does it work?

This IPL treatment utilises a different hand-piece than that used for hair removal. The skin rejuvenation hand-piece emits a different coloured light and uses a longer wave-length to achieve different objectives. Thread veins (also known as spider veins) are found in the dermis layer of the skin and can be targeted using specific parameters. The flashes of intense light heat and damage the blood vessel walls, causing the veins to shrink and disappear.

IPL For Pigmentation

How does it work?

IPL can be used to treat 'hyperpigmentation', which is the darkening of pigmentation caused by an increase in melanin. Hyperpigmentation can occur as a result of pregnancy or through over-exposure to sunlight. The light is attracted to the darker areas being targeted and as it hits these spots, it breaks up the pigmentation and disperses it from the skin. As the surface cells regenerate the skin will have a lighter, more even tone.
